Too few places for NSW Graduates

An article released today by the Sunday Telegraph highlights the plight of international students in seeking intern places. The rapid increase in medical student numbers over the past few years has resulted in a disastrous shortage of training places for junior doctors. A medical degree is effectively useless without completing an internship, so this practice is extremely concerning. Domestic and international students trained in Australia should have the opportunity to practice medicine here in Australia.
