Representative Groups.
Fairness. Equity. Inclusivity.
AMSA's various representative groups.

Indigenous Health
AMSA recognises that the ongoing impacts of colonisation manifest in our healthcare systems in experiences of overt and implicit discrimination, culturally unsafe and inaccessible care and systemic racism. We advocate for cultural safety in medical care and provides support and networking to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander medical students.

Rural Health
AMSA Rural Health is the peak representative body for rural origin students, rural clinical school students, and for the rural health interests of medical students across Australia. Our goal is to advocate for equality when accessing healthcare and equal health outcomes for rural and remote Australians.

Queer
AMSA works to promote health equity for all people and recognises the importance of affirming, supporting and celebrating diverse sexualities and gender presentations. AMSA Queer advocates for accessible healthcare services for Queer students and communities and produce resources and webinars to better equip medical students to serve Queer patients.

Gender Equity
AMSA is committed to improving the right to accessible healthcare for all genders. We work to achieve this through the production of gender health medical education resources and webinars, facilitating mentoring and networking for women, trans and gender diverse people, and engaging in public policy that pertains to gender.

International Students
AMSA ISN serves to represent all international medical students, with a focus on advocacy for the internship situation and the visa situation that all international medical students face at the end of their medical degree, as well as with a focus on the well-being of the international medical students in Australia.
