Connect. Inform. Represent.

Get to know the peak body of Australian medical students.

NATIONAL EXECUTIVE

AMSA is overseen by the National Executive recruited from across the country. They are responsible for the management and governance of the organisation, and for leading AMSA's broader leadership structure.

NATIONAL COUNCIL

AMSA's National Council is the representative and voting body of the organisation. It consists of members from Australia's 23 medical schools. The National Council meets three times per year to discuss matters of importance, and direct the efforts of AMSA's leadership. AMSA Council is open to all medical students, in addition to their University AMSA Representatives, and provides an opportunity to engage with students from around the country.

INITIATIVE GROUPS

Our Initiative Groups coordinate events, campaigns and resources that promote the health and wellbeing, education and up-skilling of medical students. They also contribute to AMSA's advocacy as subject matter experts in their respective areas of expertise.

REPRESENTATIVE GROUPS

Our Representative Groups represent the interests and lived experience of key student populations, and coordinate events, campaigns and resources to connect and inform medical students on their respective areas of expertise. They work to bring diverse lived experience to the fore of our education and advocacy.

EVENTS

AMSA's Event Portfolio consists of several annual events: the National Convention, the Global Health Conference (GHC), the Rural Health Summit (RHS), the National Leadership Development Seminar (NLDS), multiple National Councils, the Global Health Intensive and multiple Global Health Forums.
