International Student Network.
Fairness. Equity. Inclusivity.
The Australian Medical Students’ Association International Students Network (AMSA ISN) is a group of international students from around the world that call Australia home to their medical degree.
As the executive representative body in Australia, AMSA ISN serves to represent all international medical students, with a focus on advocacy for the internship situation and the visa situation that all international medical students face at the end of their medical degree, as well as with a focus on the well-being of the international medical students in Australia.
In Australia, 1 in 5 medical students are international students. AMSA ISN works to connect, inform, and represent every one of these students, particularly during internship application periods. The aims that have been set out as foundations for AMSA ISN are:

- To advocate for all international medical students in Australia.
- To provide support for graduating international medical students wishing to complete internship in Australia.
- To provide support for graduating international medical students wishing to complete internship in their home country.
- To assist graduating international medical students who are unable to attain an internship in Australia.
- To connect current international medical students and future international medical students, to inform them of the issues that are encountered by international medical students in Australia.
AMSA ISN aims to reach all international medical students in Australia, and AMSA ISN aims to advocate for equal opportunities between domestic medical students and international medical students.
